I’m Mickayla McDowell, a graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Library and Information Science, specializing in archival studies an records management. Explore my projects, insights, and professional journey as I work toward preserving history and managing information for the generations to come!

Alongside my graduate studies in Library and Information Science, I’m gaining valuable hands-on experience at the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education. Recently, I completed a project where I transferred data from FileMaker Pro to QI database software, accessioned new archival materials, and arranged and preserved a significant collection. This role has deepened my expertise in digital archival management and collection preservation, preparing me to take on complex challenges in archival studies and records management.

Driven by a passion for preserving the histories of non-profits, museums, and film studios, I am committed to making archives and stories accessible for future generations.
